Cookies and local storage
The first-party raredelve_player cookie contains a signed anonymous identifier. It is marked HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure on HTTPS, and has a one-year expiry. Game code uses it to connect this browser to saved progress and private Duel participation.
Local storage keeps interface preferences and a pointer to an active game so the browser can offer to resume it. These records are not an account and do not automatically move between devices. You can remove them through your browser’s site-data settings. Removing them can disconnect you from progress without deleting the associated server records.
Game records and retention
The game stores anonymous player and game identifiers, questions shown, submitted results, scores, timestamps and progress needed for resuming games and reducing repeat questions. Single-player records are held in the configured game database, currently Turso. Retention cleanup uses the following rules:
| Record | Policy |
|---|---|
| Game sessions | Eligible for cleanup after 180 days without an update. |
| Unfinished sessions | Eligible after 7 days without an update, subject to progress-migration safeguards. |
| Question history and migration records | Kept separately from session cleanup to preserve seen-question history and resolve old progress. No automatic deletion period is currently set. |
| Aggregated unrecognized-answer records | Eligible after 90 days without a new record. |
| Rate-limit records | Eligible after 1 day without an update. |
| AI verdict cache | Valid decisions: 90 days; invalid decisions: 30 days; uncertain decisions: 24 hours. |
Cleanup runs in batches, so eligibility is not a promise of immediate erasure at the cutoff. Sessions needed to resolve incomplete or blocked progress migrations can be retained longer. Migration records may include earlier submitted answers and scores.
Private Duel rooms
Cloudflare Durable Objects store room membership, anonymous player identifiers, the shared game state, submitted results, scores and timing for private two-player Duels. This lets a room restore state after a connection interruption. The other player sees the information needed to play, including revealed round answers and scores.
An unfinished room expires 24 hours after creation. A completed or forfeited match and its result are retained for 30 days after it ends, then scheduled for removal. Duel room data is held separately from the single-player database. Keep invitation links and codes between the intended players.
Optional AI-assisted judging
AI-assisted judging is disabled by default. If it is enabled after the required operational review, only specifically approved questions can use it to check a submitted answer that the local answer list could not confirm.
The configured provider is DeepSeek. A judging request contains the normalized submitted answer, the question, its entity type and its acceptance and rejection rules. It does not include the player’s cookie, anonymous player ID or full game history. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into an answer field.
Judgments and operational metadata can be cached under the retention rules above. AI can be uncertain or unavailable; a submitted answer is not guaranteed to be accepted. RareDelve AI notice version: August 18, 2026. See the DeepSeek Privacy Policy and Open Platform Terms for the provider’s terms. This site notice does not make promises about the provider’s independent retention.
Hosting, diagnostics and contact
Cloudflare serves the deployed site and Duel service; Turso supports the game database. These providers process requests and stored information needed to deliver their services. Hosting requests include ordinary connection information such as an IP address and browser headers.
Application diagnostics record route, status, timing, request ID and limited game context to investigate errors and monitor performance. The application request log is designed to omit submitted answer text, cookies and player identifiers. Hosting-provider logs can follow separate settings and policies.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page visits and page-load performance. Its analytics script sends page and performance measurements to Cloudflare so we can understand traffic and diagnose slow pages. See Cloudflare’s data collection documentation for details.
These pages do not load advertising scripts. If you email support, your email address, message and any information you include are used to handle the request. Avoid sending secrets or unnecessary personal information.
Your choices and requests
You can stop playing, clear browser storage, or contact chaodit@gmail.com with an access, correction or deletion request. We may need a safe way to identify the relevant anonymous records. Clearing cookies alone does not make that request or delete database records.
The game does not request a device’s precise location. This notice will be updated when the service’s data processing changes. The date at the top identifies this version.
